General FAQ
Q) Do you do custom orders?
A) Yes! I'm happy to do custom orders. Do you love that pirate doll but you don't crochet? Is that cute blue dog out of stock? I'm always happy to make one of my patterns up for you. I also do baby blankets, hats and booties on request. All you have to do is email me at hello@sherricrochets.com and request whatever you are looking for. I've also had people request new patterns (my armadillo pattern was a request) so feel free to ask!
Q) How long will a custom order take?
A) It depends on two things 1) the item you request and 2) any orders that may be in front of yours. Production time can range from 1 day to 4 weeks depending on the project requested (small toys can usually be finished in a day, but blankets will take some time). I will inform you at the time of your request how long you can expect to wait for your custom order.
Q) You say you do baby blankets. Why aren't there very many on your site?
A) I love to make baby blankets. The problem is that they tend to sell to friends and neighbors before I can list them, or I make them to give away. If you are in need of a baby blanket, let me know and I can make one just for you.
Q) Are your items made in a smoke-free, pet-free environment?
A) Yes and no. We live in a smoke-free home, but we do have pets. We have an indoor dog, a fluffy white type dog. But she is not allowed on furniture and is not allowed in the yarn or craft cabinet! And I have two outdoor cats, and while they are not allowed in the house, there could be a possibility of their fur ending up on me, and the yarn I use. We are also currently fostering two kittens, so again, they are not allowed in the craft supplies, their dander could end up on any item. The good news is below.
Q) Are your items washable?
A) All items will be hand or machine washable. Most of my items are currently made from acrylic yarn, unless otherwise stated. I will also send you a care sheet when I mail out your item to you.
Q) Can I sell a pattern I bought from you to a friend? Can I sell what I make from a pattern of yours?
A)You do not have my permission to sell or give away my patterns after you purchase them. And even though some of my patterns are free, you do not have my permission to pass them off as your own, or to trade them with someone else. However, I don't mind if you sell what you make from my patterns after you make them. Please refer your friends and customers to my site so they can buy their own pattern or get their free download from me.
